Sitters

The Sitters

Once you request or confirm a sitting via WhatsApp or email, we will allocate a sitter to you :)

In an attempt to fight youth unemployment, we took a different approach and proudly decided to form a team of pet and house sitters that are majority registered students in Cape Town. These sitters were not selected on academic merit or qualifications, but rather on the following:

Responsibility

People/Animal skills

Animal lovers

Vigilance

First visit

First/Introductory visits are encouraged for both the owners, pets and sitters to familiarize one another with the environment to ensure the right sitter is allocated. However, we do understand that everyone has tight schedules, therefore an online visit can also be arranged prior to the sitting.

The sitters do introductory visits for free, however in the case of in-person visits we do require R50 for the sitter's transportation. We understand that this may not be in most people's budget, therefore an online introductory visit can take place totally free of charge via Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or even WhatsApp.

Disease prevention

Before a sitting, our sitters fully sanitize themselves with a veterinary disinfectant spray. This is to fully ensure that your pets are safe from contracting diseases that are caused by viruses, bacteria and other disease causing microorganisms.

Locations

Below you will find locations that we are able to travel to, however please enquire about other areas and we will see if we can make a plan!

Monte Vista, Welgelegen, Panorama, Plattekloof, Parow North, De Tijger, Blouberg and Table View

Some of the sitters can also do sittings in the Southern Suburbs.
