Pet Sitting Rates
We don't like to overcomplicate matters with itemized billing and as a result charge set fees across three types of services to suit individual needs.
There are no hidden fees outside of this page. Period.
All pets covered
We do not charge extra per pet, per hour, whether you have an only child or quadruplets, shell or slithery and flying or swimming they are covered under our rates.
Services
Pop-in
R180 per day
For when you just need someone to pop in during the day to check on the pets and house to perhaps feed them, give them a quick walk, water the plants or any other general house tasks except cleaning.
Not exceeding 2 hours.
Half-Day
R250 per half-day
Pet and/or house sitting for half a day. This is ideal for pets who cannot be left alone during the work day or in the evenings when you are away.
Not exceeding 12 hours.
Full Day
R350 per day
Full day pet and/or house sitting for animals that cannot be left unattended for long periods of time or residences that need someone at home all day.
Not exceeding 24 hours.
How our affordable rates are calculated
A few things are taken into consideration to set our fixed rates, such as the sitter's transport and food expenditure for example.
We keep in mind that you should not have to pay an arm and leg for a sitting, and do not charge an hourly extra for things such as pet walking and light house maintenance, making our rates inclusive of many things.
As we only cover certain areas in the Northern Suburbs and Bloubergstrand Suburbs of Cape Town, we might have to charge a travel fee of R30-R75 if you are located way outside our working radius (see below). However, we will, to the best of our ability, attempt to get a sitter in your area to avoid this additional fee as it can accumulate; or we will attempt to refer you to another sitting agency.
Take note of the in-person introductory visit cost of R50 if you would like to make use of this, otherwise a completely free online introductory visit can also be arranged
Payments
Given that people often promise to make payments and in the end forfeit this responsibility, we do require full fees to be paid before the sitting commences.
